Educational and community vocation

Learning and social projects

La Gualtero combines her artistic practice with a strong commitment to education and community engagement. Last year, she adapted her piece Panorama for the students of the Conservatory of Dance (CSD) at the Institut del Teatre, transforming it into a group work using the specific choreographic language she originally developed for a solo. Her aim is to make the tools generated through her creative processes accessible to diverse groups, enabling the creation of pieces tailored to different styles and skill levels.

In the community sphere, she has led inclusive projects in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona, where she formed an intergenerational and diverse group — including people with disabilities — to create a twenty-minute piece for International Dance Day (DID), as part of initiatives organized by the APDC. She is also part of the project Balla’m un llibre, promoted by the APDC. This year, she created the piece Salades alongside dancers Sol Vázquez and Pilar Rodríguez, which will premiere at the 2024 Festes de la Mercè in Barcelona.

In parallel, she develops educational projects such as Calendari Còsmic, carried out at Els Alocs School in Vilassar de Mar and Escola Maquinista in Barcelona, in collaboration with L’Ordit – Cultura, Educació i Territori, within Fabra i Coats Fàbrica de Creació. Inspired by her work 360º, these projects reflect her integrative and participatory approach, where art becomes a tool for collective expression and meaningful connection with the environment.
